All classes are mixed-ability, suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioners.
Mats, blocks and straps are available on site but it is worth investing into your own personal equipment if you have been practicing for a while.
We practice barefoot. Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movements.
We normally begin with grounding ourselves, focusing on the breath. Then we gently warm up all parts of the body before getting into some more intensive sequences of movement that promote flexibility and strength of particular areas of the body. Every class includes some spinal twists, forward bends, backbends, balances, hip and chest opening postures and more. Towards the end of the class we may have a breathing session, time permitting, and/or we give ourselves time to relax completely releasing both tensions in our bodies and minds that we accumulate in everyday life and rest after the practice using guided relaxation techniques.
